Martyn was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for BBC Studios in 2022.  Prior to that, Martyn was General Counsel for BBC Worldwide from 2011. In 2018, he became General Counsel for BBC Studios, the new integrated commercial production and distribution studio formed by the merger of BBC Worldwide and the BBC’s existing production subsidiary. Martyn is a member of the Studios Executive Committee. His role includes responsibility for Business and Legal Affairs, Risk and Compliance, and all Company Secretarial matters. Separate from his General Counsel role, Martyn is also responsible for Global Operations across BBC Studios including supply chain, playout and content fulfillment, as well as being a Trustee of the BBC Pension Scheme.
